In 2026, Aeratis has begun replicating true cedar shingles. Our shingles are not panels — panels restrict a craftsman’s creativity and limit installation style. We have replicated real, grade-A cedar shingles: each shingle measures 18” long and comes in random widths from 3” up to 12” wide. The surface texture is nearly identical to a real semi-rough Eastern White Cedar or Atlantic White Cedar shingle — and installation is far easier, without the same limitations.

Fast forward to the 2000s: with rising population demand, shorter growth cycles producing lower-quality cedar, and the long maturation time required for cedar trees, the market has seen a dramatic increase in cost paired with a decline in quality — a challenge very similar to what occurred in the wood tongue-and-groove market. This is where Aeratis’ proprietary formulation found its first home. For over 20 years, Aeratis has manufactured wood-alternative products that closely replicate their wood predecessors.
